Or Drallonay. It's a kind of dino-like, fire bird that sings like whales do. And no, this is not like a phoenix, beacause it's not really immortal and only spits fire. Though the main idea came from it's flaming cousin. And whales. =3 Instead of being a flame creature it's more like an energy creature with a "normal shell".

Despite the fact that it's body contains a big amount of energy it's physically very fragile(if it's physical shell is destroyed/heavily injured the creature will die, and it's body decays in a faster rate) and avoids interaction with other species, especially the fleshy ones. For this reason it mostly tolerates other beings wandering around in it's territority but it will chase of those who get too close to it's nest (usually by toasting the unwanted guest a bit which usually makes them think that they've tumbled upon a dragon's nest and scurry off) but it's rare that it would engage in battle. They often build their nest in caves so that their method's of keeping away curious eyes will be even more effective beacause of the afromentioned fact (people know, that dragons are not fond of intruders, and possibly bieng in one's nest is kind of hazardous to health). Beside the fact that they aren't very social they can communicate with (more or less) sentient beings if they are in the mood for it and very rarely (depends on the circumstances) it might befriend one and help it in some cases - mostly involving the protection of something important to the person. If it agrees to and finds the person worthy of it, the Drallonay(youngsters mostly) will travel with it(however the Drallonay pleases it, it mostly prefers to leave it's physical shell and take over one of the person's objects so it's energy form is summonable) and help it on the course of it's journey. They usually stick with their protégé until their death and sometime decides to stay with the person's descendants if it's occupying an object - though most of them that volunteer for such partnership are forced to stay in the object after the person's decease as their real body has already decayed. Though this is the only way for them to stay alive for a longer time than their usual life span they rarely offer this kind of help (almost never) and even if they do so they ask a very high price. They prefer to live their own life and stay away from events.

It's supposed to be a legendary creature in my OC world and in the SCE comic.
